Art Zylstra launched CFO Business Partner as the culmination of 30 years of experience working as the Accountant, Controller and CFO of privately held businesses. This experience included a broad range of industries from Manufacturing, Wholesaling, Retailing, Service, and Nonprofit.
30 years of experience in a variety of industries is an important aspect of CFO Business Partner. It means that your unique company will have a financial guide that understands your industry. It means that you will be able to have confidential, strategic, and meaningful conversations about your business with someone who "has been there, done that."
In addition to his 30 years of experience, Art brings a unique understanding of what it takes for a company to flourish. Art has travelled to five continents and earned his MBA and Doctorate over the course of his career. This means that his perspective on business is much wider than the typical CPA from the Big 4 accounting firms. Both of Art's degrees were focused on organizational leadership with an emphasis on stewarding the profits of a company, the people within a company, the partners interacting with the company and the places that the company does business.
