Lumber

The framing and finish lumber you get with Chinook isn't your average grade, and you can't buy it from just any lumberyard.

Quality always stands the test of time.

Why do great craftsmen never blame their tools? They only use the best.

When you're a craftsman, you care about creating something of enduring value. The quality and detail you invest in every project is what separates you from everyone else. And it's what separates Chinook too. Every product on our store shelves and in our lumberyard racks has been carefully chosen for its ability to deliver lasting quality you can rely on. We can supply everything you need for your next project.

WHY CHINOOK

We are reframing the building landscape.

Seattle, Snohomish and Central Washington have seen a lot of change in the last twenty years. Through it all, Chinook Lumber has remained a place where everyone can access premium lumber, quality building materials and a place to kick back with fellow builders.

We are part of your project

We love it when customers make us their first stop for expert advice and high-quality tools and materials. We love it even more when you come in with dust on your clothes. Every track of mud your boots bring into the store tells us that we're doing our job. It means you've made us part of your building project — it's a mess we love to be a part of. You are part of our family

Families look out for each other. When you shop at Chinook, we take the time to get to know you, your project and your business. We look for ways we can simplify your day or support your project. We want to take care of our family members. That's why all our staff put in the extra effort to meet your needs and make your life a little bit easier. Count on us for dependable advice

We don't hire part-time employees. We hire full-time builders. Our employees have spent decades in this industry, and they continue to learn more and more every day. You can count on us to anticipate your needs, balance job priorities and coordinate deliveries — all so you can stay at the job site and in control.

We create a positive buying experience

You'll notice the Chinook difference the moment you pull into the parking lot. For starters, you'll find a parking spot within 20 feet of the front door. Next, a Chinook expert will greet you when you walk in — you'll never need to search for help. We love to share product and building advice, so feel free to ask us any questions. When you're ready to go, we'll assemble your purchase and load it into your vehicle. You'll be surprised at how quickly you can get what you need and get on your way. Deep roots in Washington

We first opened our doors in 1988, but our beginning goes back much further than that. Eric Fritch, Chinook Lumber's founder, grew up immersed in the lumber industry. His father started Fritch Mill back in the '40s, so it seemed only natural that Eric would open a lumberyard. But it didn't start off that way at first. He attended Washington State University earning a Mechanical Engineering degree, and then headed off to Boeing for three years. After that, you might say the call of the mill was too strong, or perhaps it was the sawdust in his veins. Whatever it was, Eric couldn't ignore it any longer and headed back to Fritch Mill to open his first lumberyard.

We're proud to be a part of this community and to support local builders.

Brand new building and they're still getting up to speed. did not have the biggest selection of lumber but I'm sure that will change. Very friendly employees and willing to help

Much nicer than the old place! Plenty of parking and selection. Prices seem to be on par with big home stores.

Chinook is the best. If you need lumber this is the place to go. their tool and materials selection those somewhat limited, is generally filled with the majority of items that you need. Their tools tend to be a bit pricey, but they are also top-of-the-line products

I've dealt with Chinook Lumber for 25 years. What else needs to be said?
