History
Established in 1981. Rainbow Lodge was the fruition of a dream on the part of a small group of friends who passionately desired to provide a place of renewal and refreshment. Primarily a service for church groups, Rainbow Lodge is also available to non-profit groups, and a few for-profit groups.
Nestled on 40 acres in the tall timber at the base of towering Mount Si, Rainbow Lodge Retreat Center is unique. You'll find a lovely cedar Lodge with massive rock fireplaces and comfortable rooms. You'll experience the tranquility of a deep forest and mountain streams. You'll find a caring and capable staff committed to helping your group enjoy a productive and meaningful retreat.
Rainbow Lodge is a place to get away without travelling far — where a group can gather without the routine distractions of life and work. Just a short drive from Seattle, it is amazing how quickly refreshment and renewal sets in at the Lodge.
The Lodge welcomes adult groups from churches & nonprofit organizations to our unique setting.
We also have limited availability for businesses, families or other types of groups.
As space is available we are able to accommodate groups for single day events without an overnight.
The Lodge's setting in the woods combines comfort and convenience with an "away-from-it-all " feeling providing quality meal service, meeting areas and comfortable sleeping rooms.
Simple but beautiful
If you looking for the cozy lodge in the mountains- this is it! Clean, warm, with real fireplaces:) rooms are very simple but the lodge itself is beautiful!
This is a great retreat center.
It is located on an absolutely beautiful site, below the famous mt. si. and in the beautiful woods. It is kept immaculately clean, i mean it, and the meals are simply delicious. besides the comfortable rooms, it has great facilities for a variety of programs. the staff are very accommodating; for any kind of renewal/renergizing retreat, you can't do better.
This place is a very special slice of heaven.
I wish I could live here!!! If you're looking for a space to have your next retreat, Rainbow Lodge is THE place to go.
The quarters- Everything is so well kept and clean! Each room has a beautiful forest view, and I was super impressed with the comfort of the bed and pillows. You do share showers/toilets, but each room has a sink and a mirror, which was nice. The restrooms were impeccably clean and were kept that way during our entire stay (with like 40 people). That's really saying something.
The layout of the space is also really good for group activity and just hanging out. Since the rooms are a little separate, you could easily have a rowdy group in the common area and dining room while others slept peacefully in their rooms. Everyone wins!
The scenery- STUNNING! It's right at the base of Mt. Si with some lovely little trails that take you near a waterfall and into the lovely woods. They have great spaces set up outside to enjoy the scenery, and they have benches tucked away along the trails so you can really enjoy the beauty around you while having a comfy seat to sit and stare, journal, or whatever. My pictures do a much better job of explaining the incredible beauty of this place.
The food/service- I was worried about the food; mass cooking can go terribly wrong, but not here. I was impressed at how tasty everything was. My favorite was breakfast and the pasta buffet. All of the staff were super nice and helpful from the planning stages to the very end.
If you can manage to snag a week or weekend here, it will truly be a treasured experience. I absolutely cannot wait to find an excuse to get back here!
